Elkhorn Elementary School, Frankfort, KY – February 2025 – Our first graders have just completed an exciting journey through the CKLA Knowledge 6 unit on astronomy! Throughout this unit, students delved into the fascinating world of space, learning about the solar system, planets, stars, and much more.
To culminate their studies, the young astronomers had the opportunity to unleash their creativity by designing their own unique planets. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their understanding of the concepts learned but also allowed them to express their imagination and artistic skills.
The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the students were truly inspiring. We are eagerly looking forward to the next unit, where our first graders will embark on a new adventure exploring the history of the Earth.
